The Be.e Scooter is a Sustainable Alternative Built with Plants

This eco scooter takes reducing your carbon footprint to the next level. Dutch designers Maarten Heijltjes and Simon Akkaya of the Waarmaker design firm made the Be.e scooter from plants. Developed for sustainable mobility company Van.Eko, the frameless electric scooter consists of bio-composites, flax and bio-resin. The scooter's monocoque body functions similarly to an eggshell, where the weight is distributed in the skin. This eliminates the need for a frame. The Be.e scooter was conceived in partnership with the InHolland University of Applied Sciences.

This eco scooter rides well in wet and cold weather. The large windscreen also allows for greater visibility. The sustainable vehicle has the capacity of two hours of driving time at 60 kilometer speed.
