Eco-Friendly 'Lite 2go' Lamp Is Made From Its Own Carton

San Francisco based studio Knoend, which specializes in eco-friendly design, created this innovative lamp that eliminates packaging.

The "Lite 2go" is made of recyclable polypropylene shades, recycled paper label/manual and hemp twine for assembly to promote the idea that natural is the way to go. After assembling the lamp, the packaging itself becomes the shade! And to add an extra bonus, the "Lite 2go" can be used as either a pendant or a table lamp.

The lamp won the 2008 Bronze International Design Excellence Award (IDEA) presented by Businessweek and IDSA.
