Recycled Airplane Seat Purses

Worn Again Virgin Bags

Worn Again Virgin is a collection of recycled handbags made from old Virgin Atlantic airplane seat covers as well as other repurposed materials like car seatbelts and bicycle inner tubes. This collaborative project with Virgin Atlantic has set its target of cutting the airline's landfill waste in half by 2012.

The collection consists of 2,000 unique limited-edition bags made from about 1,000 seats. The stylish bags are all handmade in small workshops in Portugal. Worn Again proceeds help fund Anti-Apathy, a registered charity that promotes sustainable lifestyles.
