Drift Relief Benefits New York Survivors of Hurricane Sandy

Unfortunately people are still struggling after the devastating effects of Hurricane Sandy in New York, but the Drift Relief is the latest project hoping to alleviate the situation, even if it is in a small way. It revolves around the driftwood found along the Jersey Shore. Essentially, Drift Relief sells beautifully painted driftwood to benefit local reconstruction efforts.

Put together by Allbriton Robbins, an art director at the Barbarian Group, and Hema Patel, an art director at Grey, Drift Relief also helps to preserve the history of New Jersey. Patel observes, "Each piece has a unique story, whether it was part of a weathered boardwalk in Long Branch or a branch from a tree in someone’s front yard in Sea Bright."

The proceeds from Drift Relief go to Sea Bright Rising.
