Double Heel Stiletto

The haute couture shows often seem like little more than a chance for designers to revel in extreme creativity, yet Jean Paul Gaultier's offing for Fall Winter 2010-11 was surprisingly covetable. Femme fatales took command of the catwalk, clad in swathes of fur, reconfigured trench coats and form-fitting neoprene edged with luxurious fur.

Outfits were completed with glamorous stilettos that came with the expected Gaultier twist, a double heel stiletto, executed in severe black patents and Burgundy crocodile details. With each heel set exactly behind the other, the view from behind remains the same, it is necessary to view the shoe form the side to appreciate the spectacle of the double heel stiletto.
