This Doctor Who Tim Burton Artwork is the Perfect Mashup

Doctor Who fans have, like most geeks, multiple fandoms and one artist, MichaelthePure is creating the ultimate Doctor Who Tim Burton portrait set. There are five portraits finished in the series so far: The Eigth, Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh Doctors and John Hurt’s War Doctor from the Day of the Doctor 50th anniversary episode. MichaelthePure intends on illustrating the first seven Doctors from the classic series in the same manner.

These fantastic Doctor Who Tim Burton mashups have each character illustrated in the same cartoon Gothic style seen in most of Burton’s animated features, including The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Corpse Bride. Over-sized narrow heads with heavily lidded eyes on skinny bodies is the common set of traits, but each portrait carries hints of each characters personality, from the dark to goofy to the sad and tired. These portraits are fun and visual enticing, and the style will prove an interesting blend with some of the other Doctors.
