14-year-old Taj Pabari developed Lego-inspired DIY tablet kits that could change the face of IT education. The project cane about after a class assignment that required students to sandwich two pieces of plastic together. The assignment gave Pabari the idea to build a new kind of educational toy.
Pabari's tablet startup MechTech Creations has since taken to creating the ImaginTech Tablet Kit, which is designed to teach children the inner workings of Android tablet, not just its physical components. Once the tablet's hardware is pieced together, children can use the ImaginCoder visual programming software to experiment with building their own apps and games.
The ImaginTech Tablet Kit includes a 7-inch 1024 x 600 multi-touch display and a 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor. It is equipped with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage.
