Expandable Disaster Shelters

The 'Just a Minute' Shelters Are Designed For Displaced Nepali People

The 'Just a Minute' shelters are concept disaster shelters designed by Italian firm Barberio Colella ARC and targeted towards use in Nepal, a country with a sizable population of people displaced from their homes for one reason or the other. The shelters were designed soon after the massive earthquake that struck Nepal earlier this year.

One of the biggest problems with disaster shelters is ensuring that they are easily transportable and can be transported to the people who need them. The 'Just a Minute' disaster shelters address this with a unique expandable structure.

The concertina-like expandable structure is given to easy transportation and setup, making them easy to set up in disaster zones where time is of the essence when helping displaced people.
