Dynamic Metal Furniture Bases

The Dinamo Table by Juan Sebastian Jacobo Cortes Boasts Tension

The Dinamo Table could easily be mistaken for a minimalist piece of furniture. Even though the metal base is full of side-stepping personality, it has an airy quality that helps maintain the overall simplicity of the design. Yet there is a tension between both the base and the tabletop that the designer essentially describes as confrontational. It is this tension that really hooks people in.

Designed by Juan Sebastian Jacobo Cortes, an industrial designer currently pursuing a Master in Industrial Design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, the Dinamo Table is an experimentation of axes and negative space. While the Dinamo Table is smooth and uninterrupted up top, the bottom is a whole other story.
