Talking Paper

Digital Paper That Can Speak

Researchers from Mid Sweden University have designed interactive paper enabled to play a recorded sound in response to a user's touch. The paper is part of a project running at the University. Their intention is that the technology will be appealing to magazines and newspapers. They also however, will study the feasibility of rolling this out to billboards and POS. I predict this is going to be huge as soon as it is rolled out onto the open market so I wouldn't be surprised at all if in 10 years the majority of publications adopt this technology as the norm.
