Derek Diedricksen Builds Hideaway Huts for Under $200 Bucks

Derek Diedricksen is a 33-year-old former comic book writer who now takes to creating 'man-cave' type huts in Stoughton, Massachusetts. He builds the tiny huts in his backyard using discarded and unwanted material, keeping the projects under his $200 budget. Derek Diedricksen gives the huts unique names such as The $100 Homeless Hut and The Gypsy Junker.

The $100 Homeless Hut was Derek Diedricksen's first project where he made a goal to build a homeless shelter for under $100. The tiny shelter measures a mere four feet by four feet! The man caves have unique features like transparent roofing, so you can look up and see the sky.

Derek Diedricksen says that he has always been obsessed with tiny architecture. He decorated the inside of the huts in a cozy manner that would make for a great hideout when you just want to get away from the world and think.
