Marijuana-Friendly Hotels

The Denver Nativ Hotel is the State's First Weed-Friendly Tourist Haven

The opening of the Denver Nativ hotel marks the next logical step in cannabis culture since legalized marijuana took center stage for Colorado's tourism industry.

Located in the heart of the Lower Denver district, or "LoDo," the hotel, which opened this past Thursday, is setting out to defy stoner stereotypes by integrating smoker-friendly areas into the hotel's already relaxation-focused offerings. For those expecting lava lamps and Bob Marley posters, the Denver Nativ Hotel is not for you. According to Nativ COO Mike Alexander, the hotel is simply following suit on loosened state legislation in a similar fashion to hotels with in-house casinos in states where commercial gambling is legal.

And it's not just smoking that will be a part of the Denver Nativ hotel experience. The hotel boasts a cafe and bar called "CanBria," which offers drinks infused with non-euphoric and non-psychoactive flavored cannabidiol and sweetened with stevia.

The Denver Nativ Hotel is just one way the tourism industry in Colorado is embracing the Cannabis tourism movement, but expect to see many more of these businesses popping up in the state.
