The Defy+ knows full-well that expensive electronics shouldn’t be as delicate as they are. I’m constantly baffled by how we’re expected to pay hundred of dollars for a device whose insides will burst at the slightest contact with anything, and apparently Motorola is baffled as well.
Whether we upload video footage, pictures or sensitives passwords, we entrust our smartphones with considerable security. And while virus protection is certainly adequate, the Motorola Defy+ is perhaps the only smartphone protected from the harms of liquids. And the best part? The cellphone doesn’t look like an oblong monster. In fact, its design is relatively innocuous.
Motorola has established a standard I hope all other smartphone manufacturers adopt. The Defy+ can be submerged underwater for up to 10 minutes, so the everyday raindrop or soda spill won’t even make you flinch—except out of habit.
