Precious Stone Inspired Furnishings

These Gem Tables by Debra Folz are Geometry-Infused

Taking inspiration from precious stones and minerals, designer Debra Folz created this stunning series of Gem Tables. The reflective furniture pieces modulate colour onto the floor surfaces that they occupy, emitting the glow of piece of statement jewelry.

The striking pieces, that are making their debut at Wanted Design during NYCxDesign 2014, are moulded using welded steel that is plated with zinc or bronze. These durable table frames are then paired with tinted pink and blue tops that are made out of low iron glass, laminated with colored geometric shapes.

Debra Folz is based in Boston, Massachusetts where she specializes in furniture, tabletop and home accessory objects that rely on "material exploration and conceptual curiosity". Folz is an Interior Design graduate from Suffolk University and has a Masters degree in Furniture Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.
