Tracktion Daw Essentials Improves on Audio Plug-In Compatibility

Broadening the scope of DAW compatibility, Tracktion Software released a suite of 16 modern audio FX plug-ins from its DAW Essentials Collection, which employ the latest technology for improved efficiency and interoperability. Tested on Windows, Mac, and the Ubuntu Linux distribution, Tracktion’s plug-ins deviate from the competition by offering wide-ranging compatibility—stretching between different software and systems.

The plug-ins are minimally designed on a dark navy-blue backdrop with in/out metering bordering every effect. Tracktion concentrated heavily on user workflow, logically layout each effect’s controls. This not only improves ease-of-use, but effectively displays signal changes that can be especially helpful when gain staging.

The following utilities are included in the DAW Essentials Collection: Equalizer, Compressor, Reverber8 reverb, Delay Studio, Stereo Delay, TapeDelay, Crossover, Limiter, Gate/Expander, Ducker, Flanger, Crusher, Chorus, Bus Compressor, Phaser, and Auto Filter. The DAW Essentials FX plug-ins are available through Tracktion’s website, and can be purchased either individually or as a collection.
