Gothic Medieval Editorials

The Dark Knight Rises for the September 2012 Marie Claire is Fierce

The Dark Knight Rises for the September 2012 Marie Claire is a gothic monochromatic editorial featuring Ranya Mordanova of Ford Models. The model is captured laying upon a massive rock in various positions in the middle of a forest.

The stylist Nina Sterghiou has dressed the model in medieval-like clothes including caged bodices, chain-mail sheaths, black leather tights, lace dresses and pencil skirts. The makeup artist Yasuo Yoshikawa has added many dark features, such as lightening the model's face, using black lipstick and thick eyeliner. The hair stylist Fernando Torrent cut the model's bangs short and blunt above her forehead, giving her an androgynous look.

This dark series recreates ensembles fit for the Dark Knight series with the all-black styles, use of leather and gothic resemblances.
