Cutesy Pop Surrealism

Tado's Artwork is Stealthily Subversive

Originally created by British design partners Mike and Katie, Tado has been taking the pop surrealism scene by storm.

The pair met in art school in 2001 and have worked together since. Together they have created a world of Kawaii characters with a colorful, humorous pop aesthetic. Along with creating artwork, the two have also been involved in creating collectible vinyl toys. Too cute!!

Implications - Mike and Katie share a love of meat, puppies and "cute, spiky characters" which keeps their friendship close.
