'IoHO' Mines Cryptocurrency Through the Collection of Body Heat

The Institute of Human Obsolescence (IoHO) is now experimenting with a sustainable approach to cryptocurrency mining through body heat. IoHO's research involved having people wear body suits that collect their body heat, which is then converted into electricity that can be used for mining cryptocurrencies. For their participation in the project, volunteers are able to keep 80% of the cryptocurrencies generated.

The project from IoHO aims to create a discussion on how humans of the future will live and work with machines. As creator Manuel Beltrán describes: "In a future with a labor market dominated by machines, would you rather work laying down and producing cryptocurrency with your body heat?"

For the present moment, the initiative is focused on the mining of mining vertcoin and startcoin cryptocurrencies, which require less energy than Bitcoin.
