For those living in tiny spaces in New York may believe that it could not get more cramped then this; that is until you get you take a gander at these cramped apartments in Hong Kong taken from directly above, which is bound to quickly change your mind.

The photo series was headed by human rights organization Society for Community Organization (SoCo) to expose the real housing concerns, which counters the cities 2012 ranking as one of the world's most liveable cities. The issue here is that because it is ranked so high, it creates a facade around the issue and creates people to push it aside. These images, shot from an aerial perspective, show extremely cramped apartments, the average size being 40 square feet. The portraits demonstrate how occupants manage amidst their belongings in this extremely confined space.
