Controlled Portion Spoons

The Minuspoon Cleverly Reduces All Servings of Sweetener in Half

Often times when consumers are adding an element of sweetness to their foods they over compensate for how much they really need to notice taste, which is why designer Jeongdae Kim has put together the Minuspoon for better controlled portion servings. The spoon features a cut-out design that lets nearly half of the serving back into the bowl, ensuring consumers add a much smaller quantity to their foods.

The Minuspoon features a small central spoon that is encased in a cutout followed by a larger rim. The design tricks consumers into thinking the spoon ladle is bigger than it actually is, while nearly half of whatever is scooped up onto the spoon falls back out. The spoon is ideal to use when measuring sweeteners like sugar or honey for drinks.
