Solarized Communities

Comstock Homes Develops America's First Photovoltaic Village

If you needed more proof that solar power is the energy of the future, consider this: a community of 500 residences created by Comstock Homes will be completely powered by solar energy.

Called the Villages at Heritage Springs and America’s first "single-builder solar-powered community," the Comstock Homes’ development will be just 10 miles from downtown Los Angeles. While the homes in the community will have different floor plans, styles, and sizes, energy efficiency will be their running similarity since all the Comstock homes will have SunPower solar roof tiles that will provide power to their lighting, heating, appliances and other devices.
