Adult Swim's Comic-Con booth at this year's convention in San Diego was a giant, glowing spectacle of cat-themed carnival fun.
The face of the booth was a 30-foot tall, lit-up, neon-colored cartoon cat that doubled as a target for an epic game of beanbag toss. Visitors to the Adult Swim Comic-Con booth could test their aim by throwing a beanbag through one of several round holes at the bottom of the cat's face. If they succeeded, they were rewarded with a prize that came whizzing down the cat's long, slide-shaped tongue.
The theme of the Comic-Con booth tied in with Adult Swim's promotional materials, which featured the same cat face on the cover of a foldout that advertised the cartoon channel's activities throughout Comic-Con 2015. A die-cut slit in the cat's face displayed an embroidered tongue. When the brochure was opened, the tongue was actually a removable, collectible patch with a set of grotesque cat fangs. The Comic-Con booth was perfectly on brand for Adult Swim's grown-up, edgy cartoon image.
