The 'Code of Conscience' Stops Construction Vehicles In Protected Areas

In the wake of the destruction of the Amazon Rainforest -- a vital aspect of Earth's natural carbon offsetting system -- a team of global NGOs in collaboration with Agency AKQA released an open-source software titled 'Code of Conscience' to prevent further destruction of this vital natural ecosystem.

The Code of Conscience restricts the use of large vehicles in protected areas including the Amazon. The open-source technology combines the location of protected-areas and the geolocation of large machinery in order to halt construction vehicles that are trying to enter protected zones.

In order to raise awareness about this "tree-saving" software, AKQA launched a campaign that features prominent Native Brazilian leader chief Raoni Metuktire who encourages equipment manufacturers to install the Code of Conscience chip into their devices for free in a bid to "keep our forests standing tall."
