Circadian Clocks

This Clock Represents Time in an Unusual Way

The Circadian Clock by Dan Taylor showcases the passage of time like most analog clocks but with a unique concept.

The clock is two different colors and becomes monochromatic twice a day -- at 12 am and 12pm. As the day begins and comes to an end, the clock turns white, while at night the Circadian Clock slowly turns black. The time is represented as these colored "pieces" of time progress and grow larger, while a small hand represents the minutes in the hour. The clock display is made from electronic paper which copies the appearance of ink on paper in a way that prevents glares from the sun or light from affecting visibility.

This black and white minimalist clock would make an excellent statement piece in any home.
