Circ Taps Zara for its New Recycled Women's Capsule Collection

With the help of Zara, Circ, a firm that develops textile technology and recycles polycotton waste into new fibers, has unveiled a groundbreaking collection. Zara's parent company, Inditex, recently invested in Circ to advance large-scale solutions for circularity in fashion. Circ is the first platform to effectively separate polycotton blended textile waste and recover both cellulosic and synthetic fibers. This enables the recovered raw materials to be used to make new clothing.

"Circ’s technology opens the door to effectively separate and recycle any blend of polyester and cotton, which is one of the most common textile blends in clothing," said Javier Losada, Inditex's chief sustainability officer.

The new women's capsule collection is constructed from textile waste made of repurposed polycotton. Lyocell clothing created with 50% recycled polycotton textile waste and polyester clothing made with 43% recycled polycotton textile waste are both included in the collection.
