Chocolate-Covered French Fries

This Fast Food Chain is Putting an Unusual Twist on a Classic Dish

McDonald’s Japan recently added chocolate-covered French fries to its ever-expanding menu. While French fires have been a staple on the McDonald's menu since the very beginning, the dish has changed relatively little over the years. Now the dish has received a sugary-sweet makeover in the form of a rich chocolate coating.

The new dish is called 'McChocolate Potatoes' and it consists of French fries covered in melted chocolate. Both white and milk chocolate are used to give the fries an even richer chocolate flavor. The result is a sweet and salty treat that combines the crunchy texture of deep-fried potatoes with the creaminess of melted chocolate.

The chocolate-covered French fries will be available as of January 26th and the dish will only cost consumers 50 cents more than a regular order of fries
