The Children's Furniture series isn't what person might expect. The pieces are not only fit for kids, they were designed by kids. Of course, this might be immediately noticeable as soon as a person lays eyes on them. This is due in large part to the disproportionate sizes, bright colors and whimsical details. For instance, one rocking chair has a fish tank attached to the arm while another seat is placed on wheels and boasts a portrait on the backrest.
Conceived by United Kingdom-based Kingston University students Jack Beveridge and Joshua Lake, the Children's Furniture series essentially revolves around chairs drawn by a class of seven and eight year olds from a local school. The project is similar to Crayon Creatures in which children's imaginations are brought to life.
