The global fast food giant has implemented reusable containers and to improve the efficiency of the system, McDonald's France is integrating RFID technology to optimize replenishment by getting a real-time look into its reusable tableware stock.
Notably, Checkpoint Systems' RFID solution is one of the first-ever food-safe, heat-and water-resistant developments and it's being affixed to cups, bottles and fry containers for monitoring and tracking. Armed with this technology, the fast food restaurant also benefits from being able to locate nearby containers for retrieval.
