The Glemham I Carved Seat is Made by Hand Out of a Single Tree Trunk

The Glemham I carved seat by designer Alex Johnson creatively makes use of a single tree stump to capture the entire aesthetic and material needed for the furniture piece. The chair features an intricate design of swirls and curves captured entirely by hand without any outside wood used, besides that carved away from the tree stump. The uniformity in the piece speaks to Johnson's detailed skill and craftsmanship.

The chair was produced exclusively for The Aide Valley Spring Festival where Johnson showed off his unique creation. The chair was made using wooden tree stump collected from a local forest that was carefully chiselled away to reveal the chair's form and intricate design of swirls that adorn the seat from the legs to the arms. The chair is made from solid wood without any other material used.
