The Algoritmi Self-Steers Using a Computer System, Sensors and 360-Cameras

With autonomous driving becoming increasingly prevalent in road vehicles, designer BelKharmoudi Aziz is utilizing a similar self-steering system to power cargo ships in his design of the Algoritmi. The ships are designed to be entirely autonomous by utilizing sensors, 360-degree cameras and a computer system to guide the ship to and from its destinations.

The Algoitmi ship utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to ensure safe transportation without the need for human control. The ship features a 800-meter length for carrying a variety of cargo products, an atomic fusion engine and wind turbines as natural energy sources. The ship sails smoothly through the water thanks to satellite GPS systems, collision-control technology and cameras.

The use of a robotic command system reduces the need for human crews and captains to oversee the vessels.
