Usually, condo complexes are built strictly vertically, maximizing air and minimizing ground space. However, the latest proposed piece of architecture to come from Singaporean designer Ole Schreenen neither maximizes air nor minimizes ground space; indeed, it looks as if a number of building blocks were surreptitiously dropped on top of one another, with interconnecting stairs and common areas.
The aim of the hexagonal building blocks is to capitalise on the expanse of land available to build as well as create many different courtyards for the residents.
