In the land of fast foods, fast cars and fast devices, it is getting harder to appreciate the slow things in life; Bread from Scratch hopes to help with that. Addressing the detrimental effects of fast food in a direct way, it encourages people to take a moment to make their own loaves of bread.
Bread from Scratch was designed by Mirko Ihrig, a design student based in California, Los Angeles. Created for his final project in his MA in Industrial Design, which he completed in Sweden, he reveals that his project is "a reaction to the fact that many people don’t know where our food comes from anymore. Fast foods and other processed industrial foods determine our daily lives."
