The Guardian Book Swap is Keeping Print Fresh

In the age of Kindle and all other e-readers, the Guardian Book Swap may be the only thing keeping print fresh. Guardian, a national newspaper in UK, has initiated a national book swap in which readers can give away their books to complete strangers. To be a part of the Guardian Book Swap, the reader must download a bookplate sticker from the Guardian website, stick it in the book and write a few words about why it's a great read. They then leave their books in some place where another book lover can find them. The details of where the book has been left can be uploaded on Twitter or guardian.co.uk/bookswap.

As a part of the Guardian Book Swap, the company is also giving away 15,000 titles of different genres and publishers. These books will be left in public places where readers can find them, including coffeeshops, museums and train stations.
