The ominous sounding Black Night Transformer military vehicle, is a helicopter truck that both flies and drives while carrying important cargo loads.
Commissioned by the United States military and currently being tested by Advanced Tactics, the Black Night Transformer is meant to be an unmanned transport vehicle for situations that require the evacuation of soldiers for medical or casualty reasons in areas that are deemed to be dangerous. Operated by remote control, the Black Night Transformer flies with the aid of eight rotors (four on each side) that spring out during take-off and fold back in when driven on land; the Black Night Transformer can also be controlled manually by someone inside the truck.
So far Advanced Tactics have finished testing the Black Night Transformer on land and are expecting to begin testing in the air before the end of February.
