Hēdoïne's Ladder-Resistant Tights Make Fashion More Sustainable

UK-based hosiery brand Hēdoïne is introducing the world to biodegradable tights that help to reduce fast fashion waste. The collection of 30 denier sheer black tights are ladder-resistant and they make the most of a biodegradable yarn that's mindfully shaped in Italy using recycled water.

Although the brand acknowledges that fully biodegradable yarn does not yet exist, its solution saves 85% of otherwise non-biodegradable materials from landfills. At the end of their usable life, the tights can be disposed of via general waste streams and composted via an anaerobic waste management facility.

Considering that some kinds of tights only have so many uses before they are prone to tearing, this solution helps to make wearing hosiery more sustainable, especially thanks to the brand's unique knitting technology for a longer lasting product.
