The Design for The Benelong Crescent Apartments is Dynamic

The design for for the Benelong Crescent Apartments in Sydney Australia proves dynamic and distinctive. The stacked architectural piece resembles overlapping dominos and is a site to be seen.

The structure, created by Luigi Rosselli Architects is inspired by Erich Mendelsohn’s Einstein Tower, completed in the 1920s. According to the architects, "The overlapping apartments cascade downhill, following the contours of the surrounding landscape with curved terraced balconies designed to fit the irregular shape of the site." The bold elements of the structure make it visually appealing and its vibrant design makes it stand-out amongst neighbouring buildings.

The predominantly white building complex gains warmth with the architects’ use of hardwood detailing. The heavy elements of the structure are dominant features, but large terraces and windows allow for light to enter the interior spaces. Though the complex stands out as a vibrant architectural piece, it simoultaneously manages to blend with its surrounding landscape.
