Bean-Made Booze

The Sixpoint Brewery 3Beans Beer Will Change Your Perspective

When one thinks of beer, beans don't automatically come to mind, but beer beans is what Sixpoint Brewery is currently offering to beer connoisseurs around the world.

Bean beers isn't actually that new of a concept according to the founder of Sixpoint Brewery Shane Welch, who states on the company site that "the idea behind the three beans is based upon an ancient formulation in medieval Europe, in Slavic areas, in Baltic areas." He says in those climates, regular brewing grains such as barley and wheat weren't easily accessible, so people had to work with what they had, which were beans.

The 3Beans beer was made with the combined efforts of Sixpoint Brewery, Mast Brothers Chocolate and Stumptown Coffee Roasters. The mixture of romano, coffee and cacao beans is always a welcomed mix.
