Trackable Luggage Concepts

Bag2Go's RFID Chip Ensures That You'll Never Lose a Bag Again

Airbus, T-Mobile and luggagemaker Rimowa have introduced Bag2Go, a piece of luggage that can be tracked. The conceptual luggage features an RFID chip that allows it to be tracked using an accompanying iPhone app. Additionally, the luggage has a built-in sensor that can tell you how much your bag weighs simply by lifting it up.

Airbus estimated that the intelligent bag would cost only 20 percent more than a regular piece of luggage. It also said that it would consider offering a rental service, should Bag2Go be developed. The service would let you drop your bag off to a courier who would then take it to the airport for you. All you would need to do is board your flight and collect your bag.
