Accessible Ethical Handbag Programs

Telfar's Bag Security Program Encourages a Sense of Community

In the past few months, securing a Telfar bag was difficult as it sells out within seconds -- now Telfar Clemens launches the new Bag Security Program to combat the exclusivity. The brand's ethos of 'not for you, for everyone' is embodied by the new program, allowing anyone who wants a bag to get one.

Consumers are able to pre-order as many as they want on August 19th. Announcing this on Instagram, the brand states, "we are not about hype and scarcity [...] the whole point of our bag is accessibility and community. But when thousands of bags sell per second, we can’t even know how many to make. We plan production six months in advance. It takes time and money to make bags and we are 100% self financed."
