New York designer Asher Levine is certainly committed to keeping track of his garments. In order to know exactly where the garments are and where to find them if they're lost, the designer has partnered up with Phone Halo, a developer of tracking software, to embed pieces of clothing in his Fall/Winter 2013 collection with Bluetooth-enabled microchips.

In case pieces are stolen or lost, the designer has the opportunity to signal these Bluetooth-enabled microchips through his smartphone and ring the garments. If the pieces are too far away, the technology allows Levine to locate them on Google Maps.

While incorporating technology within fashion is not necessarily new, utilizing technology as a way to track garment pieces is certainly an invention that designers will surely embrace in the future.
