Insightful Evolutionary Artwork

The Artistic Group Maentis Parodies the March of Progress

A team of young artists from Paris, who mainly specialize in graphic design, illustration and street art recently created a captivating collection of illustrations that comments on human evolution.

The project entitled 'March of Progress' was recently launched, and boasts 99 altered illustrations parodying the iconic image that sums up 25 million years of evolution.

The purpose of the project was to provide a more comprehensive story of humans, by commenting on their vices, theirs drifts, their faults, but also their accomplishments and their dreams.

The group creates one drawing per day, highlighting a different accomplishment or fault of humans. The group also documents their drawings in a unique cartoon-like video. The rest of the group's artwork can be viewed at www.maentis.com.
