Andrei Baciu's Photo Series Captures His Great Grandma's House

'Granny's Place' is an ethereal photo series, put together by celebrated Romanian photographer Andrei Baciu, that captures the magic of his great grandmother's house. What charmed Baciu so much about this house was the fact that it was a place where "technology never arrived and it was never missed". Since technology was never part of his great grandma's life, her house had a sense of organic tranquility that is difficult to achieve in modern life.

Andrei Baciu took the photographs that comprise the Granny's Place series over a period of three years, between 2008 and 2011. The house is located in the Magura village in Romania. After Baciu's great grandma passed away, the house remained untouched. As a result, it managed to preserve both a typical Eastern European feel as well as an old-world spirit of the way things used to be before technology took over people's lives.
