Amazon India is Launching Dine-In Payments Using Amazon Pay

Amazon India is running a test trial to facilitate dine-in payments with a limited set of restaurants in Bengaluru. To access the service, users have to access the Amazon Pay tab and select Dining, where they will be prompted to make payments using credit, debit, net banking, UPI, or Amazon Pay Later. For the trial period, Amazon India offers discounts at all listed restaurants.

Amazon hopes that this will be an effective way to engage with the consumer population in India. Brands like Zomato and Swiggy have already implemented similar services, with the former launching its own UPI service alongside ICICI Bank.
