Teenage Superhero Remakes (UPDATE)

The Amazing Spider-Man Trailer is Endearing

The Amazing Spider-Man proves this film is sure to be a hit. Starring Andrew Garfield (from The Social Network) as a teenaged Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy (Spidey’s love interest before Mary Jane Watson), this remake will have fanboys and fangirls buzzing until its release in early July 2012.

In an age when Hollywood remakes just about every film imaginable, it was only a matter of time before a director took a crack at Spider-Man (considering the box office success of other superhero flicks). If The Amazing Spider-Man trailer is any indication, this reboot is definitely a welcomed one.

The trailer doesn’t reveal too much about the plot, but it does give viewers a glimpse of high-flying, digitally enhanced upgrades lacking from the original trilogy. Combine that with a solid cast of actors and better source material for the plot, and this reincarnation should be a massive success with audiences worldwide.
