Alphabet's Loon Recently Partnered with the HAPS Alliance

Alphabet's loon recently partnered with a number of different organizations in the HAPS Alliance group, that advocate for internet access through aircraft in the stratosphere. Some of the organizations that are already involved in the alliance include Deutsche Telekom, Soft Bank, Bharti Airtel, China Telecom and more. The partnership will look to provide the first-ever high-altitude internet to consumers.

The organizations, including the Alphabet’s loon, will look to convince governments to develop internet systems that rely on high altitude aircraft. However, these systems will be able to meet industry standards. The collective will also look to create a unified and, "compelling message," that can promote the idea in the public.
