Design Student Sportscar Concepts (UPDATE)

The Alfa Romeo Glorica Concept Makes It Official Debut

The students of the Instituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Turin, Italy, got to show off their self-created Alfa Romeo Gloria concept at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The life-sized mock-up was announced before the show and shown in a series of concept images, but this is the first time it has ever been shown live.

The 20 students who designed the Alfa Romeo Gloria concept were tasked with creating a four-door sedan that would be powered by either a turbo V6 or a turbo V8 engine. The end result is one of sheer beauty; the car is distinctly European in its design and features future-forward styling. The Alfa Romeo Gloria concept will remain a concept for the time being, but the Italian car company is planning a return to the U.S. in the form of the two-door 4C, so perhaps a four-door sedan isn't entirely out of the question.
