Aldi Easter Eggs are Now Packaged Completely in Paper

Aldi Easter eggs are being made available for purchase this year in new packaging that is completely plastic-free in a bid to help reduce unnecessary waste and shift towards more sustainable alternatives. The eggs no longer feature a plastic window on the front to give a view of the product and instead make use of paper along with a printed image. This will reportedly save an estimated 24-tonnes of plastic, according to the brand.

Plastics and Packaging Director at Aldi UK Richard Gorman commented on the Aldi Easter eggs news saying, "We know that our customers are passionate about the environment, and these changes to our Easter range are a great example of how we are helping them eliminate unnecessary plastic. We’re committed to playing our part to protect the environment and its changes like this that can make all the difference."
