Quirky Cowboy Characters

Alberto Cerriteno Works on a Branding Initiative for CMT

Illustrator and graphic designer Alberto Cerriteno was recently invited by Interspectacular, a New York-based motion-graphics studio, to work with them on a pitch package for Country Music Television (CMT). The project was not a simple one either. While graphic designers and illustrators are constantly coming up with packaging and branding concepts, it isn't everyday that they are asked to recreate a brand's identity, but this is precisely what CMT expected Cerriteno and Interspectacular to do.

For his part, Cerriteno was to develop characters, layouts and logos. The principle characters he came up with are featured here. They are crafty little cowboys that stay true to their past while paying attention to contemporary styles and themes. In this way, they help keep CMT relevant without selling it out.
