African Fashion Connects with the World

For MCEL MFW Fashion Week, advertising agency, DDB of Maputo presented an inspired and inspiring promotional campaign geared to African fashion. With captions like, "The African culture is on the streets, in museums, history books and in wardrobes;" and "You can talk about Africa, long legs and beauty without necessarily referring to a giraffe;" the pride in African fashion and its contribution is clear.

The accompanying illustrations and animated promotion are beautifully done using the vivid colors and textures that embody Africa’s tribal arts. The ads do more than promote African fashion, however, they connect Africa through common experience to the creative spirit in all of us.
