Researchers at the University of Bristol recently developed an adaptable touch screen that can transform into a variety of shapes and therefore perform different functions.

The adaptable touch screen is called 'Cubimorph' and looks like a Rubik's cube since it is made up of small cubes. The surface of the Cubimorph is covered in touch screens and the plan for the device is for it to morph to the user's needs. The device could work as a smartphone or a gaming console and will be able to transform automatically. An added benefit is that the transformable device can adapt to suit the needs of children, the elderly or the physically impaired.
